FATHER Christmas heralded the start of the festive season when he arrived on his reindeer-pulled sleigh at Webbs Garden Centre at West Hagley on Saturday (November 28).

Webbs chairman Ed Webb described their arrival at the Kidderminster Road South garden centre as “a magical sight” and a great chance for people to see real reindeer up close.

He added: “These stunning animals are central to the magic of Christmas.”

Visitors can see Father Christmas and his furry friends every Saturday and Sunday in December the run up to Christmas.

They will also be making last minute stop-offs at the garden centre from December 21 until December 24.

No pre-booking is required to visit Santa’s grotto and tickets, priced £4.50 per child, are available to buy at the garden centre on the day.

Visitors can also meet Moss, the Snowy Owl from the Falconry Centre in his aviary near the reindeer, although an admission fee applies to visit the Falconry Centre.
