RUNNERS are being encouraged to visit the scenic Hagley countryside and take part in a five or 10 kilometre run to help conquer strokes.

Supported by Clent Hills and Hagley Rotary Clubs, the Stroke Association-run event is one of 29 fundraising Resolution Runs taking place this spring.

Runners will be able to take in views of the Hagley Hall estate as the run on March 13 takes them around Hagley Park.

Katrin Winstanley, events manager at the Stroke Association, said: “The Resolution Run at Hagley Hall is the ideal event for people who have made a New Year’s resolution to get more active.

“The events are open to all ages and abilities, and participants can run, jog or walk the routes.”

The Stroke Association are providing a full training guide to help keep Resolution Runners on track and every entrant will receive a running top and medal, with all money raised helping to fund vital research and support people affected by strokes in the West Midlands.

Mrs Winstanley added: “We’re very thankful to Lord Cobham of Hagley Hall for allowing us to use the beautiful estate, and to Clent Hills Rotary Club and Hagley Rotary Club who have been a tremendous support in organising the day.”

Entry costs £15. For more information visit stroke.org.uk/resolution or email resolution@stroke.org.uk
