HUNDREDS of runners from across the region jogged and walked across the picturesque Hagley scenery all for the good of the Stroke Association.

A sea of purple fundraisers took to Hagley Hall on Sunday (March 5) to complete either a 5km, 10km or 15km course during the Resolution Run event.

About 650 people took part in the run, raising more than £25,000 towards the vital work done by the charity to help conquer stroke.

Claire Pell, community and events fundraiser at the Stroke Association, said: “We’re extremely grateful to everyone who took part – it was a fantastic turn out and a great day for everyone involved, even the rain didn’t dampen people’s spirits.

“The money raised will fund vital research and support for stroke survivors, as well as help to prevent people from having a stroke.”

The Stroke Association campaigns to improve stroke care, while supporting people to make the best recovery they can, with funds going towards research to change the lives of people affected by stroke.
