WORDSLEY UKIP councillor Paul Brothwood got into the Christmas spirit to help bring cheer to the community at a festive fun day.

Councillor Paul Brothwood donned the seasonal outfit as part of celebrations for the High Acres Community Association, held at Dingle Community Centre, Kingswinford.

Cllr Brothwood, who is chairman of the community group, said: “It was great to hold another Christmas event for local children.

“The feedback from parents and children was amazing and we will certainly be doing it again “It’s a lovely time of year and even better when the community get together.”

The event included a children’s disco, grotto and mascots plus a visit from Santa and other favourite children’s characters.

Cllr Brothwood added: “This would not be possible without the support of the residents of the High Acres.

“We try and hold as many events as possible, including our big Summer Event to kick start the Black Country Festival.”
