THE developer of a major new housing development in Kingswinford has contributed more than £185,000 to improve local facilities.
Taylor Wimpey Midlands has already started work on the 334 two, three, four and five-bedroom houses, including 65 affordable homes, in Himley View.
It is expected that the first 187 homes will be completed by December 2015 and work on the remaining 147 will begin in January 2016 and finish in autumn 2019.
The developers section 106 contribution of £186,295 will be spent on local library facilities and improving transport infrastructure and highways.
Elaine Taylor, regional sales and marketing sirector for Taylor Wimpey, said: “Our investment of more than £185,000 will help to improve public facilities and infrastructure for the benefit of the whole community, ensuring that this sustainable new homes development will both complement and enhance the local area.”
