Kingswinford Folk Dance Club

The final event of 2015 was as usual, a party night. Members paid no entrance fee, as finances are stable. In addition to dancing members enjoyed a shared supper and instead of Christmas cards, made a donation to a charity fund. The destination of the collection was chosen by Norma, who held the lucky ticket in the raffle.

The new year got off to a rousing start as we have several new members ,who have discovered that this form of dancing is quite easy once you have mastered a few basic expressions, and can count up to eight. In addition full tuition is given in two practical ways, namely ,more experienced dancers offer help, and otherwise they are plunged into the deep end.

Arnold announced that at present funds are stable, so the annual subscription can remain at £3 per annum.

He then read out a thank you letter which had been sent to Norma, from Barnardos, her chosen charity

The club meets in St Mary’s school. Kingswinford on alternate Thursdays, the next one being on February 11 at 7.45pm.

Prospective new members are always welcome.
