BROMLEY Hills Primary School are urging volunteers to come forward and take up a role on their board of governors.

The Kingswinford school is on the lookout for two local residents who would like to have a hand in how the institution is run.

Jane Morgan, chair of governors at the Bromley Lane school, said: “We need volunteers to become part of a small but hard working and happy team.

“The board of governors are looking for different skills from PR and marketing, good local knowledge of the local community or law, or a background in education.

“But the most essential requirement is for the individual to be able to give up their time freely for at least three or four times a term for meetings that take place in the evening and also on governor days where we visit the school for the whole day and meet the pupils and staff.

“It is one of those roles that the more you put into it the more you get out. It is entirely voluntary, yet fulfilling as there is something new to learn every day.”
