ALL-SINGING all-dancing students at The Kingswinford School Academy were this week bringing to life the tale of a murderous man-eating plant.

Young performers at the Water Street academy have been treading the boards in the horror comedy musical Little Shop of Horrors.

The musical centres on down on his luck florist Seymour and co-worker Audrey - and the antics of a giant flesh-eating plant with an insatiable appetite.

Dave Cotterill, head of drama and director and producer of the show, said the show, which follows last year's successful Blues Brothers outing, "sets new heights" and he added: "The set in itself is superb and the main roles this time are year eight and nine students which go to show the performance talent we have on offer here at The Kingswinford School Academy.

"We have also worked with Dudley Evolve Productions for the first time and this collaboration with A level students has been an inspiration for our key stage 3 and 4 students to follow their skills and passions into further education. It’s been hard work but an absolute pleasure to work on."

The show runs tonight (Thursday June 23) and tomorrow (Friday June 24), starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £6, are available from the school, on 01384 296596.
