THE BJ Concert Band will be staging its annual Christmas concert at Kingswinford Methodist Church, Stream Road, next month.

Taking place on Saturday December 10 from 7pm, the event will include a selection of marches, swing and music from the shows - and new musical director Steve Tromans, who has taken over from 86-year-old trombone and saxophone maestro Bobby Johnson, will be inviting the audience to join in with singing traditional carols.

Tickets for the event - the band's final concert of 2016 - are free and can be obtained via www.facebook.com/bjconcertband or from Mervyn Jackson by calling 07949 719757 or emailing mervyn71cc@gmail.com.

Refreshments will be available during the interval and donations to the band’s costs will be welcome.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the concert band, which rehearses at the church at 7pm on Wednesdays throughout the year, can call or email Mr Jackson on the contact details above.
