THE directors of a Stourbridge opticians have realised their vision to open a sister store in Kingswinford.
Store directors at Specsavers in Stourbridge, Jason Bridgwater and Terry Tam (pictured below), who have more than 50 years’ optical experience between them, have opened a new store in Townsend Place, Kingswinford, which has seen four new full-time jobs created.
The new outlet, which opened yesterday (Monday December 4) in the former Clocks and Gifts unit, boasts two test rooms including one easily accessible on the ground floor plus a dedicated sound proof room for hearing.
It also features high tech latest equipment including an Optical Coherence Tomography machine which works as a 3D scanner to allow optometrists to view the eye in more detail to help with the screening and management of conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
Store director Jason Bridgewater said: "Demand in Stourbridge is such that we needed to expand and so the opportunity of opening in Kingswinford made perfect sense – we’ll be able to offer the same level of commitment to customer service, but with the added convenience for those living in Kingswinford or the surrounding area."
Customers will also benefit from Digital Precision Eyecare, which allows the optical team to help people select their glasses by taking a photo on a tablet capturing their vital measurements.
The new Kingswinford store is open seven days a week. Hearing appointments will be available one day a week from 2018.
