The ladies met in May to conduct their annual meeting.

The resolution put forward by National was to “Increase organ donation”, this was passed by our group unanimously, and our votes will go forward to the AGM being held in Leeds on June 7.

In addition our present committee where voted back in to place for the coming year.

After all that serious discussion we rounded off the evening with a wine and cheese supper and a nice catch up perfect.

The May saw us taking the Kinver Community bus, for a day with Frampton Cottrell WI, a group in Somerset who we have a long standing connection with.

It was a lovely sunny day with our first meeting in St Peter’s church in Frampton Cottrell, lots of information with delicious home made cakes, and coffee, a trip around the village and a delicious lunch in the Globe pub, handily next door to the church.

kinvervillagewi.co.uk Sadly we have to report the loss of a long term member and well known figure throughout Kinver, Rita Orton, who’s long battle was lost this month.

The June 9 meeting is “Odes of life and laughter” , 7.30 p
