PLANS to make Kinver more of a tourist attraction will gather force next weekend with a helping hand from the National Trust.

Volunteers from the Trust have arranged for a shuttle bus to run between the Vine Pub and the historic Rock Houses, which are situated on the edge of the village, on Saturday August 23.

The bus will be making several stops along the route before arriving at the National Trust car park in Kingsford Lane.

It is hoped visitors will be able to take in more of what Kinver has to offer.

The bus will run at various times between 11.30am until 4.30pm and there will be a free family activity trail for children to take in which will be situated between the Rock Houses and the car park.

If the event proves successful, the National Trust has already hinted it might be prepared to run the bus on a more regular basis.

Trust volunteer Sylvia Sidaway said: "We know there are great opportunities in Kinver for people to enjoy a full and varied day out.

"We hope by running the shuttle bus, we will be able to introduce people to these possibilities."
