KINVER Rotarians will be under pressure to shed a few pounds in the New Year.
Some of the more portly members are set to embark on a six week sponsored slim.
Their progress will be under plenty of scrutiny as they must first take part in a public weigh-in which takes place on Saturday (January 3) at the local greengrocers, Village Greens.
Kinver Rotary Club has almost 50 members and most of them will be encouraged to take part.
Club spokesman Mike Deathridge said: "There are clearly one or two members who don't need to lose any weight, so I wouldn't be expecting them to join in."
Mr Deathridge said all funds raised would go towards the international committee's efforts to purchase a minibus to transport youngsters to school in Rohtak, India.
