AUTUMN has been an exciting time for the ladies. Firstly a very special open evening featuring the fantastic Frances Benton, the talk, Tears of the Dragon, featured pearls, their history, how they are produced and the very glamorous effect they have when worn. In addition there were plenty to be purchased.
Two days later found us posing below the flag, which was flying for us in Kinver. The occasion was our 100th birthday. We followed our photo session with supper and fizz to toast all of us and all who went before us.
To see us raising a glass visit kinvervillagewi.co.uk October found us behind the scenes of a film caterer, Richard Kendrick, bringing us the low down on film and food. This was hugely entertaining and made us realise just what was involved in breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snacks for sporting events and film sets all over the country. He obviously had a little WI blood running through his veins with all that food for thought.
