A FORMER Kinver student died from multiple injuries after he crashed his car into a tree, a coroner's court was told.
Jack De Bell, 18, died on the morning of Saturday, December 3, after a fatal crash near Telford.
The collision happened shortly before 4.30am near to New House Farm on the B4176 near Sutton Maddock and involved a silver Ford Fiesta which was travelling towards the village.
Former Kinver High School and Sixth Form student Jack, who was driving the vehicle, left the road before going up onto a verge and collided head on into an oak tree.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, which were called to the scene, Jack was pronounced dead by a paramedic at 4.58am.
During a recent inquest at Shropshire Coroner’s Court, the court were told that pathologist Dr C J Burrows performed a post mortem on December 6, 2016, at The Princess Royal Hospital, in Telford. The cause of death was given as multiple injuries and road traffic collision.
The inquest was adjourned to March 16, 2017.
