Rubicon Skate Board School, the biggest and most active provider of skateboard lessons and demos in the country, are coming to Kinver this Saturday from 10am.

They will be teaching youngsters skills throughout the day at the Marsh Playing Field Legion Drive where the Wheels Park (which includes the Skate Park and Bike Track) is built.

The Wheels Park was developed by Kinver Action Group through grants and funding including Lottery funding (Community Open Spaces Groundworks Section) and the Playbuilder Fund.

Three of Rubicon’s top instructors will be on hand to put the youngsters through their paces. Rubicon work with such companies as BSkyB (Living for Sports project) and the BBC (Blast Tour and Live N Deadly Tour).

The Instructors will bring equipment with them for those who do not have skateboarding gear. They are First Aid trained, fully insured and have CRB checks.

There will be four 90-minute classes where 20 young people can take part in each session, allowing the organisers to cater for 80 youngsters throughout the day.

There will also be opportunities for bike and scooter events The aim of Kinver Action Group through these activities is to promote healthy lifestyles and positive mental attitudes in young people in a fun and safe environment.

To take part in this event places MUST be booked and only those who have booked with parental permission will be allowed to take part.

The minimum age is seven years old.
