POLICE in Stourbridge have donated £647 to help kit out a group of 35 young scouts.
The 1st Quarry Bank and Lye Scout group received the cash donation from officers who patrol the area.
New T-shirts with an embroidered logo will be ordered for the group so members of the public can identify the youngsters when they are out in the community.`` The money donated was made available through the Police Property Act (PPA) - which comprises cash obtained from the sale of property seized as part of police investigations.
PC Jonathan Edwards, from the Lye and Stourbridge neighbourhood team, said: "We are really happy to be able to support the local scout group which has been doing excellent work within our community for a long time.
"It is important that we can help community groups like this that have such a positive impact on our community and the lives of our children."
