A WASTE processing plant in Lye is back open for business after a fire forced owners to close the site for a week.
Firefighters from Stourbridge and Brierley Hill tackled the blaze at Trice and Allen, on the Lye Valley Industrial Estate, last Monday at 6.14pm.
Co-owner Craig Allen said although the site was forced to shut, the damage was minimal.
He added: "It was a pile of waste that went up, we think due to the heat as it was a hot day.
"The fire brigade were here within 10 minutes and managed to contain it to one area, then returned over two or three days to make sure nothing reignited."
