DUDLEY Council have a number of one bedroom flats to rent in Lye High Street and are urging people to apply for them.
The centrally heated flats would suit single people or couples over 35 years old.
They cost in the region of £70 a week, which could work out cheaper than renting privately.
A council spokesman said: "The flats are situated in a location which isn't immediately obvious, so it's possible not many people know about them. The flats offer a great opportunity for anyone interested in living in the Lye area."
Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for housing and community safety, said: "These properties are ideal for anyone who may be struggling financially.
"They are situated in a great location for local amenities, while offering excellent transport links to Birmingham, Merry Hill and Stourbridge."
The flats are not exclusive to Dudley borough residents and anyone interested can contact 01384 815100 or email nowaithomes@dudley.gov.uk
