THE new deputy Mayor of Dudley will be putting his best foot forward this Sunday (May 31) to walk the boundary of his Lye and Stourbridge North constituency.
Intrepid councillor Mohammed Hanif will be attempting to raise funds for our 'Well of Life' appeal to provide a solar-powered water pump and farmland irrigation system for the village of Sintet in The Gambia, West Africa.
It's not the first time Cllr Hanif has completed the five to six walk and he will be joined on the excursion by roving reporter Nick Pullen.
He said: "Even if it rains, I don't mind, it all adds to the occasion."
The pair will be setting off from the Hadcroft pub at 10.30am and anyone who would like to sponsor Cllr Hanif can get in touch with him by emailing cllr.mohammed.hanif@dudleymbc.org.uk or call 07779623975.
