MIDLANDS Air Ambulance Charity is asking supporters to ‘make noise’ on social media to help it win a community donation.

The Lye-based charity are bidding for a chance to win a £1,000 red cup grant during the second annual holiday challenge from Starbucks.

To be awarded money, charity supporters need to tweet the handle @MAA_Charity with the hashtag #RedCupCheer and follow its project page on neighbourly.com, before sharing it online.

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for the charity, said: “With no Government or National Lottery funding, a grant like this one from Starbucks can cover the cost of five pairs of safety boots and five helmets to be worn at an incident scene for our aircrew, assisting Midlands Air Ambulance in undertaking further lifesaving missions.”

The #RedCupCheer challenge launches on Monday, November 16, and runs for three weeks, with voting closing on December 6.

The value of the grant each charity receives will be decided on the basis of a popular vote conducted on Twitter and neighbourly.com, as measured and recorded by Neighbourly's software and verified by Starbucks.
