A LORRY has crashed into a bridge on Stourbridge Road in Lye causing the road to be closed between Hungary Hill and Cemetery Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 3pm this afternoon (January 21) to reports of an articulated lorry colliding with a railway bridge.
West Midlands Fire Service has sent two engines from Brierley Hill station which have made the area safe.
Crews are now awaiting assistance from a railway assessment officer who will need to inspect the damage which has been caused to the bridge.
A spokesman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said they have been made aware of the incident, but no one involved has suffered injuries.

The fire service and West Midlands Police are currently on the scene and motorists have been advised to avoid the area as queues are beginning to build.
It is currently unknown as to when the road will be reopened.
