A LUCKY couple will be tying the knot for free after winning a wedding at a newly-refurbished, historic Lye building.
Bride and groom to be Amy Lambeth and Stuart Hanson won a wedding, worth £370, in a Dudley Council prize draw at an open day at the Thomas Robinson building (the old Lye and Wollescote Cemetery Chapels) on Saturday (October 8).
Couples entered their names into the competition, and the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Mohammed Hanif, drew the winning entry live on Dudley Register Office’s Facebook page.
The day also saw the launch of Dudley Registrars’ new chauffeur driven car service, which attracted a number of bookings on the day.
