BLUSHING brides can find the cut-price dress of their dreams at a unique bridal boutique in Lye.

Dudley Council registrars moved their ‘I do 2’ wedding dress collection to a new bridal boutique based in the recently refurbished Thomas Robinson Building in Cemetery Road last year and it has gone from strength to strength.

The boutique, located in the basement of the building – the former Lye and Wollescote Cemetery Chapels, has on display more than 80 bridal gowns - ranging in price from £50 to £250.

Many of the gowns are pre-loved but brand new dresses are available too and the majority are sold on behalf of and to raise funds for Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge.

Councillor John Martin, Dudley’s cabinet member for corporate transformation and performance, said: “There is something to suit all tastes and budgets. I would urge brides to book an appointment and find the dress of their dreams.”

The boutique is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm, but brides are advised to book an appointment in advance by emailing marriage.enquiry@dudley.gov.uk or calling 01384 818349.
