The chairman, Joyce Knotts, welcomed members to the first meeting of the year. The secretary and the treasurer gave their reports. Subscriptions for the coming year are now due. Helen Greenway gave details of two forthcoming joint outings with Wollaston guild.

On 14 August, to Abbey-cwm-hir at a cost of £20.50 and on 20 November , a visit to Chatsworth to see their Christmas display and market, at a cost of £20.50. The Federation report was given and the annual lunch will be held at the Mill Hotel, Alveley on 29 July, the cost being £22 to include a speaker. The National AGM will be held in Harrogate on 12 June. An Arts & Crafts day is being held at the Ruskin Centre on 23 March, and a dabble day is proposed for 12 October.

The carol service held in December was successful with the collection of just over £181 being donated to the church. The main item consisted of a fascinating look at the Lost Gardens of Heligan from its overgrown state to the on-going work to date, followed by the Living Countryside. This took us through the seasons accompanied by appropriate music. The photography was superb.The luncheon club members will regularly meet again in the Spring. Recent walks of the rambling group have been around Ashwood and to see the snowdrops in Churchill.

Tickets are to be booked to see "Corpse" at the Rose Theatre on April 24 at a cost of £10 each. The next meeting is on March 25 and will be the AGM.
