A BLAZE of blue jumpers descended upon Mary Stevens Park as St Josephs RC School in Stourbridge celebrated the Feast of St Joseph.
Following a special mass at Our Lady and All Saints Church, the 200 strong pupils, together with staff and parents enjoyed a massive picnic in the park, followed by ice creams which were provided by the PTA.
Headteacher Nora Painter claimed: “We had a wonderful day. It was a sight to behold seeing all the blue jumpers spread across the park.
“It was a celebration day for us, similar to founders day as the school is named after St Joseph.
“We had two community police officers escorting us and they, together with the staff at the hub, all went beyond the call of duty. Even the weather was perfect.”
