The chairman, Helen Greenway welcomed members to the meeting.

She announced the death of Meriel Saunders, a former long-serving member, and whose funeral will take place on 2 April at 12.20pm at Stourbridge crematorium.

The secretary and treasurer gave their monthly reports, and information was given about the forthcoming birthday dinner to be held at the Brasserie in Kidderminster on 19 May .There will be two outings this year jointly with Wollaston guild - to the Cotswolds on 6 August, and 19 November to Bath. On 14 May a visit to the Rose Theatre is planned to see “Quartet”. The ramblers meet regularly, weather permitting. The speaker,John Mobberley, gave a talk entitled “Do you remember when?”

taking us down memory lane when we were younger. As it was our 49th birthday meeting, a piece of birthday cake was enjoyed with the coffee.

The meeting concluded with the business of the AGM when the secretary’s annual report and the treasurer’s audited statement were given.

The chairman thanked the committee and members for their continued support. Raffle winners were Edna Yeadon and Rosemary Bell.

The next meeting will be on April 28when Rosemary Winnall will talk about a Borneo experience. It was suggested that members bring friends as Mrs Winnall’s photography is amazing.
