NORTON Players are looking for enthusiastic actors to take part in their first production, The Railway Children.
The amateur theatre group is inviting anyone who wants to tread the boards to join the weekly rehearsals, held at Norton Community Centre, Kemton Way, from 7pm to 9pm on Tuesdays.
Director Phillip Liptrot said: "This is a story that I have loved since I first read it when I was young, and I adapted this script a while ago. The time is now right for me to put in on a stage.
"The group is looking for committed and reliable actors of all abilities to fill some of the remaining roles and do the story justice. "
He added: "We are always looking for people to get involved in the backstage process as well. The aim is to present the show early in 2015 at a local church hall, and possibly a larger theatre if all goes well."
