The chairman, Helen Greenway, welcomed members to the June meeting, and the last month’s minutes, together with the financial report, were both accepted as true records. The recently held interguild quiz had been an enjoyable event, and the Norton team was sixth out of twelve.

The ramblers are enjoying exploring various local areas, and the next walk will be on 23 June. John Mobberley, the speaker for the evening, continued with his talk about the 1940s and the years after the war.

The raffle prize was won by Margaret Tew.

The next meeting will be held on 27 July when Ruth Lowe will speak about Mary Quant. Ladies who would like to meet new friends, have new interests and have new challenges are invited to a coffee morning on 29 July in the Norton Community Centre from 10.30am and discover what TG can offer.
