WHITE Dee – the star of controversial television series Benefits Street – has teamed up with two Black Country musicians to promote their Children in Need charity single.
Otherwise known as Dee Kelly, the TV personality has appeared alongside Stourbridge singer Steve Heathcock and Dudley rapper Soulkeeper – aka Lawson Smith – in the video for the duo’s song ‘Stand Up For Children’.
Steve and Lawson, who collectively call themselves Soul Division, released the video on November 6 in time to bring in extra funds for the BBC charity, whose annual telethon takes place on Friday evening (November 13).
Norton man Steve, who has been singing around clubs in the Midlands for more than 20 years, described the song as a “fun video and a catchy pop track”.
The newly released video to ‘Stand Up For Children’, which is available to download from iTunes, can be seen above.
