MUSICIANS are getting set for a series of free outdoor summer concerts at parks around Dudley borough.

With summer weather set to stay wet performers may be singing in the rain at the shows, which all run from 2.30pm to 5pm.

Mary Stevens Park in Norton will host Paul Drakeley and the Allstars Band on Sunday July 8 with more Sunday concerts planned for the rest of the month..

Thorns Community Music Group will be playing in Stevens Park, Quarry Bank, on Sunday August 12.

Councillor Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “The concerts are a great opportunity to enjoy some of the most talented musicians around.”
