STUDENTS at Old Swinford Hospital School in Stourbridge have again achieved outstanding results in A Level examinations.
The pass rate was 98.8 per cent - with 56.9 per cent of students gaining top grades of A*, A or B. And more than a quarter of all grades were A* or A.
Dr Richard Heaton, director of the school’s sixth form, said “We are yet again delighted by the fantastic achievements of our hard working students and their dedicated teachers.
“Our high pass rate and the proportion of top grades are a measure of the high levels of motivation of our students and the strong guidance they receive in their academic studies.
“These results will see almost all of our students straight off to university, achieving a place at their first choice institution.”
Fifteen star students bagged three or more A* or A grades.
Jessica Frost from Kingswinford, who aims to study medicine at university, was the top achieving teen - walking away with four A* grades.
Ellie Fradgley, from Kingswinford, who plans to study physics at the University of Birmingham, gained two A* grades and two As.
Michael Hudson, from Withymoor, who plans to study physics at the University of Warwick, scored three A* grades and an A. While Danyal Akarca, from Kingswinford, who aims to study medicine at the University of Southampton, achieved two A* grades and an A.
