MARY Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge is holding its popular summer fete this Saturday (September 7).

The family-themed event will be held in the hospice grounds, off Hagley Road, Oldswinford, from 11am to 3.30pm.

Attractions will include dance displays, face-painting, entertainment from Stourbridge radio station 102.5 The ‘Bridge, penalty shoot out, kids’ corner, small animals from Dudley Zoo and Black Country comedian Marlene.

There will be a barbecue, refreshments, tombola and stalls selling cakes, books and jigsaws,plants, bric-a-brac and haberdashery.

The hospice Day Therapies Clinic will also be open for visitors to meet staff and try out taster therapy sessions.

Vicki Rowles, head of fundraising at the hospice, said “ We are so excited that our annual fete is here again, it really is a fabulous event for all the family to enjoy.

“It is also our way of saying thank you to our local community for all the support they provide throughout the year. We simply could not provide the vital care that we do without their support.”
