GENEROUS estate agents Walton and Hipkiss have adopted a charity for the first time in their 85-year history.

The estate agents, who have offices in Hagley and Stourbridge, have chosen Mary Stevens Hospice as their nominated charity.

They have agreed to donate a percentage of their commission from every house sale they achieve in 2015 directly to the hospice 25th anniversary Day Services Unit Appeal.

The hospice is trying to raise £1.5million to expand and improve its existing Day Services Unit to meet increasing demand.

Janis Borley, Hagley sales and office manager, said: "We have many staff members who have been touched by the fantastic work which goes on at Mary Stevens Hospice.

"This new relationship gives us the opportunity to give something back to the hospice."

Hospice corporate fundraiser Chris Schofield added: "For Walton and Hipkiss to donate a percentage of their commission for 2015 is extremely generous."
