A STOURBRIDGE care home will be hosting an array of fun activities for its residents as part of a national open day initiative tomorrow (Friday June 19).

Oriel care home in Hagley Road will be hosting a tea dance, games, exercise activities and welcoming a Black Country poet as part of Care Home Open Day 2015.

Residents will also be able to have manicures and visitors will be able to meet residents and staff and hear their stories.

The aim is to encourage local people to visit care homes in their community and work together to develop better relationships.

Jane Linford, manager at the home, said: " Some people still have misconceptions about care homes so we are keen to dispel any myths and for people to come and have a look around, meet the staff and our residents."
