AGE Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen will be giving away free cakes tomorrow (Wednesday) to celebrate the Queen’s record long reign.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth will become the longest reigning British monarch tomorrow when she surpasses Queen Victoria’s record 63-year and 217 day reign.

And to mark the occasion – Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen will be offering free cakes to all visitors who drop in for lunch at the Elton Centre at St John’s, Stourbridge, Mary Stevens Centre Day Centre in Hagley Road, Oldswinford, and at the Halesowen Day Centre in Green Lane, Halesowen.

Ken Turner, chairman of Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen, said: “We’re baking them at the centre on Wednesday and they’ll be given away to anyone who comes in for lunch from around 1pm.”
