THE funeral of an “inspirational” Quarry Bank man who raised nearly £6,000 for Mary Stevens Hospice in his final months will take place next Monday (April 18).

Father-of-three Ivan Partridge, aged 55, of Patina Close, died on March 25 after a brave battle against a rare form of cancer.

Heartbroken family and friends will say their final goodbyes at a service at Wordsley's Holy Trinity Church at 1.45pm on Monday April 18.

A private service for family only will be held afterwards at Stourbridge Crematorium - and a celebration for everyone who knew Ivan will follow at Stourbridge Rugby Club from 4pm.

Meanwhile - a charity bash for the Stourbridge hospice will be held in Ivan’s memory at The Laurels Club, Windmill Hill, Colley Gate, on Saturday April 16 from 2pm to 5pm.

Entertainment will be provided by Frankie Valli tribute act Stephen James.

Admission is £5 on the door and funds raised will go to Mary Stevens Hospice.
