STOURBRIDGE people can have their say at Dudley Council’s next round of community forums being held later this month.

The forums, launched in February, replaced the old area committees as part of the authority’s efforts to create a “community council”.

The second round of meetings run from April 16 to 24 and give people and businesses the chance to raise a range of issues affecting their communities with councillors and officers of Dudley Council.

Councillor David Sparks, leader of Dudley Council, said: “The first community forums were very successful and I’m glad people took the time to come and speak to us about issues affecting their communities.

“These are an important way for people to have direct access and backs up our desire to make this authority a community council where people are very much involved with this council and work together on issues that are important to them.”

Quarry Bank residents can have their say on Wednesday April 17 at Netherton’s Savoy Centre, Northfield Road.

The Norton, Pedmore and Stourbridge East, Wollaston and Stourbridge Town community forum will be held on Thursday April 18 at Stourbridge Town Hall, Crown Lane.

Residents in Kingswinford North and Wall Heath, Kingswinford South and Wordsley can air their views at Holy Trinity Church Hall, High Street, Wordsley, on Tuesday April 23; the community forum for Amblecote, Cradley and Wollescote, Lye and Stourbridge North will also take place on the same day at Amblecote Church Hall, Vicarage Road, Amblecote.

And on Wednesday April 24 the Brierley Hill, Brockmoor and Pensnett community forum will be held at Brockmoor Primary School, Belle Isle, Brockmoor, Brierley Hill.

All meetings start at 6.30pm.
