A PEDMORE Fields man is one of the latest winners of a national charity lottery game.

Richard Wragg, of Walker Avenue, scooped the People’s Postcode Lottery’s £1,000 prize on Monday when his postcode, DY9 9EL was drawn.

The 51-year-old who started playing the lottery in October said he was shocked, but delighted to hear of his win.

“This is a lot of money,” he said. “I am going to sit with a nice meal and think about how lucky I am and what I want to spend it on.”

With five winning postcodes everyday throughout the week, Stourbridge is not the only lucky area today, as players in Neath, Birmingham, Runcorn and Glasgow also took home the £1,000 prize.

Since starting in 2005, the People’s Postcode Lottery has raised £58.6 million for charities including £9,124 for Home Start Dudley.

The charity received the money for its over 5’s project which provides a support service to vulnerable families with at least one child under the age of five-years-old.
