BUDDING young reporters at Pedmore Technology College and Community School turned news hounds for the day as part of a BBC news initiative aimed at schoolkids.
The Grange Lane school was among 1,000 schools to take part in the BBC’s ninth annual School Report News Day yesterday (Thursday March 19).
Youngsters had to gather and prepare stories for a 2pm deadline and get their reports online two hours later.
Lorraine Turner, director of communications at Pedmore Technology College, said: “We managed to successfully record and report our news for the BBC School Report News project.
“We have taken part in this for several years and this year we reached the publishing deadline yet again.
“Our year eights have been busy in interviews and writing reports then getting them uploaded onto our dedicated page on our website.”
