THORNS Road in Quarry Bank has been closed after a serious crash involving a pedestrian and a lorry.
Emergency services have flooded the scene and the road (the A4036) has been closed between Caledonia and Mount Pleasant (A4100) following the incident which happened at around 3.35pm.
Police are directing traffic and motorists are urged to find alternative routes at this time.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and two paramedics in rapid response vehicles to the scene.
