A BRIERLEY Hill man has been charged with manslaughter following a fatal collision in Quarry Bank.

Self-employed Garret Fitzpartrick, of Bank Street, was arrested yesterday (Thursday 22) in connection with the death of a 26-year-old, named locally as Sartaj Aziz from Stourbridge, who was hit by a lorry on Thorns Road just after 3:30pm on Tuesday (20 August).

The 27-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Saturday August 24) .

A 21-year-old man who was arrested on Wednesday was released without charge.
