BRIAN Genner has been confirmed as the new president of Quarry Bank Musical Theatre Society.
Mr Genner, who was the society's first chairman back in the early 1960s, has taken over the helm of the re-branded society - previously known as Quarry Bank Amateur Operatic Society - in a milestone year which will see the group moving from its Netherton Arts Centre base of 50 years to Brierley Hill Civic Hall.
Society spokesman Kath Head said: "QBMTS are honoured that Brian has accepted the role and will be taking full advantage of his vast knowledge and experience in order to ensure the future success and growth of the society."
The society's first show in Brierley Hill will be The Sound of Music which will run from June 3 to 7.
