QUARRY Bank residents can vent their frustrations about the cancellation of a popular bus service at a public meeting next Thursday (October 16).

Councillor Bryan Cotterill has organised the meeting to try and encourage National Express to reinstate the 297 bus service, which took passengers to Russells Hall Hospital.

He said residents will be able to put their questions to representatives from National Express and Centro at Birch Coppice church hall from 11.30am to 1pm.

Cllr Cotterill added: "It was a popular and well used service by both the elderly and the young. I hope we can get it reinstated."
