TICKETS are now on sale for the Dudley public to be transported into the Wonderful Land of Oz.

Quarry Bank Musical Theatre Society's latest production of the L. Frank Baum classic will run at Brierley Hill Civic Hall in June, and 400 tickets have already been snapped up.

However, the group are still on the lookout for men to fill small acting roles in the show.

Kath Head, the society’s publicity officer, said: “If any men out there have had a hidden desire to do some acting, now is the time to fulfil their desires.

“There will be no audition to go through as this has been known to put many people off joining in the past.

“All they need to do is turn up on Tuesday night and they will be made very welcome.”

Rehearsals are currently taking place between 7.45pm and 10 pm at St Michael’s Church, in Brierley Hill, preparing the group for the live shows.

They will be on stage at the civic hall in the evenings of Tuesday, June 7, until Saturday, June 11, with a matinee performance on the Saturday.

Tickets costing £11 for adults, £10 for children, and a family ticket for £36, can be bought by calling the box office on 07913 884208.
