A MAJOR Quarry Bank road is due to be closed during two days next week, residents and motorists are being warned.

Dudley Council is closing High Street – between its junctions with Park Road and Thorns Road – to carry out carriageway resurfacing on the roundabout.

The road will be shut to traffic on Sunday (June 12) and Sunday June 19, between 8am until 3pm, both days.

Cars will be diverted along Merry Hill, Coppice Lane, Quarry Road, St Anne’s Road, Lower High Street, Forge Lane and vice versa.

A council spokeswoman said access to the frontages during the closure will be “maintained where safe to do so”.
