TIDY Stourbridge is looking for sponsors to supply them with the essentials they need in order to continue their battle with litter louts.

Volunteers need funds to purchase black bags, trolleys and litter pickers for their regular rubbish collecting sprees.

They are also on the lookout for more volunteers to join the Pick'n' Pint sessions, which sees people meet at 10.15am to spend 90 minutes picking up litter, before rewarding themselves with a drink at a nearby pub.

The group will hold their next Pick’n’Pint on Sunday (September 14) at The Seven Stars Inn, Brook Road to blitz the railway station and Grange Road.

Other meetings will take place at The New Talbot in Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill on September 21, Chiltern House in Leys Road, Brockmoor on October 5 and The Samson and Lion in Brierley Hill Road, Wordsley on October 19.

Volunteers will meet at the car park on Clinic Drive, Lye on Remembrance Sunday (November 9) and take a break from tidying to observe a two minutes silence outside Christ Church at 11am.

Anyone who would like to sponsor the group or volunteer, should visit www.tidystourbridge.wordpress.com.
