BLAKELANDS Country House near Stourbridge has raised more than £315 for Macmillan Cancer Support after staging a vintage themed coffee morning.

The event, held on Friday September 26, was attended by around 30 people who enjoyed an unlimited supply of tea, coffee and cakes in the grounds of the country house.

The owners also held a raffle to raise more money for the charity, with prizes including an overnight stay at Blakelands, a vintage afternoon tea, dinner for two and Sunday lunch vouchers.

Heather Morgan, owner of Blakelands said: “We couldn’t have wished for a better day to hold the coffee morning and we were extremely grateful to everyone who attended and donated so generously. All of the money raised from the coffee morning and the raffle, will be donated to Macmillan.”

Meanwhile - Lynda and Jennifer at Frox Dress Hire and Sales Limited, Hagley Road, Oldswinford, Stourbridge, raised more than £300 from their Macmillan Coffee Morning held on the same day.
