STOURBRIDGE eco group Transition Stourbridge will be showing a thought-provoking documentary about fracking in the UK as part of its continuing run of film screenings.

The Truth Behind the Dash For Gas 2014 will be shown at the Friends Meeting House, Scotts Road, Stourbridge, on Saturday October 11,at 7.30pm.

The film, by independent film-maker Marco Jackson, examines the potential impacts of fracking and coal bed methane extraction in Somerset and beyond – and it highlights the possible social, health and environmental consequences associated with unconventional gas drilling.

Admission is by donation. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be available.
