CHARITABLE group Gig Caritas is staging its annual big band concert at a Stourbridge church this Friday (October 10).
The Moonlight Sinatra gig, featuring Black Country born singer Chris Passey and a 25-piece big band, is set to take place at St John’s United Reform Church, St John’s Road, Stourbridge, on World Mental Health Day - at 7.30pm.
Money raised will go to Dudley Mind to help people in the borough suffering from mental health problems.
Gig Caritas was formed in 2011 by a group of like-minded musicians to raise money for good causes.
None of the performers, including West End stars, take a fee for appearing in the shows – the last of which was held at Dudley Town Hall in July and raised £1,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Stephen Sutton.
Tickets for the Moonlight Sinatra concert, priced £10, are available from www.gigcaritas.com or Harris Butchers, Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston.
